World leaders spent another day scrambling to try to come up with some kind of deal on cutting greenhouse gas emissions at the stalled climate change talks in Copenhagen. Canada has been under fire for taking a weak stand, and still the Prime Minister kept a low profile, letting Environment Minister Jim Prentice step up for Canada's main speech.
The breakdown in talks sparked a protest by a youth delegation lead by a Victoria woman. Maia Green was part of the demonstration that urged world leaders to reach a fair and legally binding agreement on climate change.
It's the kind of action that is resonating with environmentally-conscious youth here at home as they do their part to promote sustaintability.
